To rally in front Al Qubbah Palace to demand the fall of the regime
The Egyptian Movement for Transitional Justice calls upon all the masses of the Egyptian people to continue the participation in the demonstrations of June 30, 2013 and to rally today in front of Al Qubbah Palace to demand the fall of the regime.
The Movement also demanded the masses of citizens to call upon programs and mechanisms of transitional justice as major demands and work to implement it in practice such as a road map for the safe transition of the Egyptian society from despotism to democracy and to ensure continuation of the objectives of the January Revolution.
the Egyptian Movement for Transitional Justice affirms that what is witnessed in Egypt at this time, and the daily predictable events in Egypt are huge matters where its seriousness is not only limited to the objectives of the January revolution, but also extends to threaten the foundations and principles of democracy and the rule of law, and the peaceful transfer of power and impunity for those involved in serious violations of human rights including accountability, prosecution, punishment, and many complicated things. Moreover, the main goal behind it is to causes inaction and complacency towards the adoption of programs and mechanisms of transitional justice, after the fall of the former regime in Egypt, by the revolution of January 2011.
The Egyptian Movement for Transitional Justice pointed out that the programs and mechanisms of transitional justice are broader and more general than just dealing with the files of financial and economic corruption and attempts to recover funds looted by the help of the judicial system in the country.
The movement also pointed out that that serious desire whether by all the revolutionary forces in Egypt and the political forces, on the opening of past files and prompt and fair dealing with the most serious crimes, represented in extrajudicial killings, torture and enforced disappearance, and the desire to uncover the truth, and to compensate the victims, and ending of these files, and prosecution and accountability of those involved in these violations, requires the adoption of transitional justice programs and encouraging the issuance of legislation adopts these mechanisms.
the Egyptian Movement for Transitional Justice seize these developments witnessed by the Egyptian arena at this time and the peaceful demonstrations occurred all over the country on June 30, 2013 to call upon the masses of Egyptian citizens to demand the mechanisms and programs of Transitional Justice, which is considered a right to the Egyptian people after the revolution of January.
The Movement also calls on all national forces and the revolutionary forces to wrap around programs and mechanisms of transitional justice, as a confirmation of the real desire to achieve the goals of the revolution and address files of the past, and to achieve reconciliation based on justice and fairness.
