The ACIJLP organizes a closing conference on the project
"Supporting Women Involvement in Public Life"
The Arab center for the independence of judiciary and legal Profession (ACIJLP) organizes a closing event on the occasion of the end of activities of the project "Supporting Women Involvement in Public Life", with the participation of 150 female and male lawyers, judges, law professors, activists in the field of human rights and media figures, who participated in the activities of the project, whether by co-chairing sessions of conferences, seminars, workshops or those who have presented papers and researches, as well as the trainers who participate in the training program included in the project.
The Closing conference will be held on Monday, 24th December, from 10:00am until 2:00 pm in Pyramisa Hotel - Dokki.
It is worth mentioning that the project “Support Women Involvement in Public Life” continued through two years with financial support from the European Union, and includes a number of conferences, workshops, seminars, relevant research papers and training courses.
The project aims to support and promote the participation of women in all community institutions, particularly Parliament, local councils, the boards of directors of NGOs, trade unions and the extent of women contribution to the development of economic, social and political development programs in addition to women implementation and effective contribution in improving the conditions of society. The project also aims to purgation of national legislation that lead to the existence of discrimination against women and harmonizing it with international legislation related to the right of women to equality and combating all forms of discrimination against women in particular those stated in covenants and commitments ratified by Egypt.
Many human rights activities including judges, law professors, lawyers, parliamentarians and activists in the field of human rights and women's rights in addition to many media figures have participated in the activities of this campaign.
