Judges and presidents of supreme courts in the world are in solidarity with Egypt's judges
The events of the thirteenth International Conference of the presidents and judges of supreme courts in the world has been Concluded on Wednesday 12th December 2012. The conference was held in the Indian city of "Langkawi" and continued its activities in the period from 9th December till 12th December, which was held under the title "activate the rule of international law to meet the current needs through maintaining the future of the world's children and future generations".
160 presidents and judges of supreme courts participated in the activities of this conference in all over the world, with the Egyptian participation of Chancellor Adel Omar Sherif, deputy president of the Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt.
It is worth mentioning that the final declaration issued by the conference, has been subjected to abuses faced by the principle of the independence of the judiciary and judges in Egypt at this time.
The statement pointed out that the judges of the Supreme Court juges in this meeting look with great interest and concern to what is the Egyptian judiciary is exposed to in general and to what is the Supreme Constitutional Court is exposed in particular including the practices that constitute blatant violations of the independence of the judiciary and the principle of the rule of law.
The judges and presidents of supreme courts expressed their full solidarity with the judiciary and judges of Egypt regarding the clear breach of their independence and the independence of the judiciary in Egypt.
