on In the framework of developing the needed skills to the Egyptian lawyers and human rights activists in the field of human rights, and in an effort to strengthen the legal and field work, the Arab Center for Independence of the judiciary and legal Profession (ACIJLP) in cooperation with the Freedom House, organizes a training program on monitoring and documentation skills in the field of human rights., from 1 to 4 December.2008, Flamenco Hotel - Zamalek. The training program aims to train the Egyptian lawyers and human rights activists on the skills of monitoring and documenting human rights violations, through the training on the scientific and technical skills of monitoring and documentation. Moreover, the use of modern techniques in the field of monitoring and documentation, in addition to the skills of how to use what have been monitored and documented before the national or international courts or the UN mechanisms concerned of human rights. The training program aims also to define transitional justice, the international humanitarian law and the international human rights law, moreover the permanent International Criminal Court as a mechanism of international humanitarian law (in terms of its establishment, jurisdiction and how to revive a legal action) , in addition to treaty and non treaty UN mechanisms of human rights. 20 lawyers and activists from several Egyptian governorates and human rights organizations will participate in this training course. Many international law and international humanitarian experts and training experts in the field of human rights will assume the training in this training course. |
