Immunity ... The prosecution through international jurisdiction for the perpetrators of war crimes against Palestinian civilians

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights, in cooperation with the Arab Center for Independence of the judiciary, the legal profession and the Arab Organization for Human Rights, organizes a conference on "immunity and prosecution of Israeli perpetrators of war crimes ",on November 8 (Saturday) from nine am sharp until six o'clock of the same day at Shepherd Hotel, Cairo.

Many legal and diplomatic bodies will participate in this conference. In addition to legal experts in international law and international humanitarian law and activists in the field of human rights from the United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland, Sweden and the United States of America. Moreover, Arab bodies from Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan and Somalia.

This conference sheds light on war crimes that Israeli occupation forces continue to commit against Palestinian civilians in the occupied territories, especially the killings outside the law, which implemented with approval of official institutions of governance in the State of the military occupation. The conference also deals with the Palestinian and the international efforts to prosecute Israeli war criminals before the international criminal justice, and the application of the principle of international jurisdiction. In addition to vision of the English and Spanish justice to the principle of international jurisdiction and a study of the situation of the case currently before the Spanish National Court against Israeli military officials.

The events of the conference also include the presentation of a documentary film on the crimes of extrajudicial executions committed by Israeli occupying forces against Palestinian civilians, in addition to presenting a report on the crimes of extrajudicial executions committed by Israeli occupation forces during the period from August 2006 to June 2008.
