General Recommendations: 1) To call on Arab states to ratify the ICC Statute, and make the necessary legislative amendments so that domestic laws become in conformity with the ICC statute. 2) To encourage efforts made in the region to raise the awareness of the importance of the ICC among Arab intellectuals, jurists, and media officers. 3) To call on Arab jurists, scholars, and law professors to study the ICC statute, and clarify its controversial points. 4) To announce July 17th of every year as a Day to celebrate the ICC and international justice in the region. Recommendations for the organizations members of the Arab NGO Coalition: 5) To do the utmost effort to promote the ICC in their countries. 6) To conduct studies on the obstacles which prevent their countries from ratifying the statute. Recommendations for the ACIJLP: 7) To establish a permanent secretariat to follow-up and develop the activities of the Arab Coalition. 8) To take the necessary measures so that Arab organizations members of the Arab Coalition be represented in the steering committee of the International Coalition for an ICC. |
